Kevin Baker
Founder & Attorney
Kevin established Baker Law in 2018, less than one year after Hurricane Harvey devastated the South Texas coast. Originally from Portland, Texas, he practiced law in large firms for over 20 years before opening his own practice to build a different kind of firm.
After 30 years on both sides of insurance claims, Kevin knows how carriers evaluate, reduce, and deny claims — and he uses that knowledge to fight for policyholders. He takes most cases on a contingent fee basis, which means his incentive is perfectly aligned with yours.
He'll tell you what he thinks, admit what he doesn't know, and treat you like the friend, family member, or neighbor he intends you to become.

Molly Baker
Office Administrator
Molly spent 25 years teaching kindergarten through second grade and music classes before cutting her retirement short after Hurricane Harvey's 2017 devastation to help Kevin establish Baker Law in March 2018.
She manages personnel, handles bookkeeping and accounting, and keeps the firm running with the same patience and care that defined her teaching career. She also volunteers with the Rockport Center for the Arts and the Chamber of Commerce.
Janina Fuentes
Legal Assistant
Janina holds a Bachelor's degree in criminal justice from UT San Antonio and brings prior experience in immigration law. She has been with Baker Law since March 2018, working remotely from San Antonio.
Fluent in Spanish, Janina is an essential resource for the firm's bilingual clients across South Texas and the rest of the state.
Kari Walsh
Legal Assistant
Kari brings multiple associate degrees from Del Mar College — in Liberal Arts, Business Administration, and Paralegal Studies — along with prior legal secretary experience at an oil and gas firm.
She joined Baker Law in April 2025, commuting from Corpus Christi to support the team in Rockport.
