What We Handle
Practice Areas
Focused expertise. Honest counsel. Two disciplines where deep experience on both sides of the table gives you a real advantage.
Practice Area 01
First-Party Insurance Claims
Every year, thousands of homes and businesses across Texas sustain damage from windstorms, hurricanes, and hail. And every year, insurance carriers find reasons to underpay — or flat-out deny — legitimate claims.
After 30 years working on both sides of insurance disputes — including time inside the industry — I know exactly how carriers evaluate claims, what they look for to reduce payouts, and how to fight back effectively.
I handle the exhausting back-and-forth with adjusters and defense attorneys so you can focus on getting your life back together. Most cases are taken on a contingent fee basis, meaning you pay nothing unless we win.
- Hurricane and tropical storm damage
- Hail and windstorm damage to roofs, siding, windows
- Water intrusion following storm events
- TWIA (Texas Windstorm Insurance Association) disputes
- Underpaid or delayed residential property claims
- Underpaid or delayed commercial property claims
- Claim denials based on policy exclusion disputes
- Bad faith insurance practices
The insurer's goal is profit.
Your goal is a fair settlement.
Those are not the same thing. Having someone who knows how to read the carrier's playbook — and counter it — changes the outcome.
Contingent Fee
Most cases are handled on a contingent fee basis. You pay nothing upfront and nothing unless we recover for you.

Practice Area 02
Mediation
Sometimes the most powerful move isn't to fight harder — it's to find a smarter way out. Mediation can resolve disputes faster, cheaper, and with far less stress than litigation.
As my practice evolves, I'm increasingly drawn to mediation — helping parties on both sides of a dispute reach an agreement they can live with, rather than rolling the dice in a courtroom.
Three decades of sitting across the table from insurance companies and their attorneys has given me a rare perspective: I understand what each side needs to feel like the outcome is fair. That's the foundation of good mediation.
- Insurance claim dispute resolution
- Pre-litigation mediation
- Court-ordered mediation
- Commercial and property dispute mediation
- Neutral third-party facilitation
Resolution without the war.
Litigation is expensive, slow, and emotionally draining. Mediation puts you in control of the outcome rather than leaving it to a judge or jury.
Faster Resolution
What takes years in court can often be resolved in mediation in weeks or months. Your time has real value — I won't let you forget that.
"I'll give you my straight take on what's fair, and admit the one number I can never calculate — the true value of your time."
